I feel like we were just celebrating New Years the other day. Yet, somehow, February has snuck up on us and Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. This Valentine’s Day, David made reservations at a restaurant I’ve been wanting to go to for months and we’re going ice skating over the weekend. Somehow, in our 3+ years of dating, we’ve never gone ice skating together. So this will be a first for us!
For dinner, I plan on wearing this gorgeous velvet wrap dress that I ordered from Asos. The blush color coupled with the high-low skirt gives it a romantic feel, making it perfect for a Valentine’s Day date. In the past, we’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day while traveling and usually ended up dressing a bit more casually. Since we’ll be in the city this year, I’m excited to get a little more dressed up in this velvet wrap dress. Oh, and did I mention it’s $32? Nope, not a typo! Asos has a wide selection of dresses affordable for any budget.
I love how a good pair of heels makes any outfit polished. But, realistically, I won’t be wearing these stilettos to dinner. In real life, I’m not much of a heel wearer. Manhattan is not stiletto-friendly, and I don’t particularly need the extra height even though I love the elegance of heels. I will likely be wearing flats like these or thicker heels like these or these.
Below, I’ve linked even more Valentine’s Day outfit ideas if this velvet wrap dress isn’t quite what you were envisioning.
